Running Around NaNoWriMo

This month, I might’ve realized that I could break my limits.

Hello guys, and welcome to another installment of monthly updates! I’ll be going over NaNoWriMo, scholarships, the YouTubers I respect, and my progress on The Jungle.

This month is the second time I participated in NaNoWriMo. And to be honest, I have never even visited the website yet! I’ve been focusing on writing 2,000 words alone. I haven’t checked out any resources or visited the YouTubers I respect like Sara Cannon & Vivian Reis. But I do think that near the end of the month, I may check out how they’ve been doing for this event.

And maybe a reason why I haven’t checked out the NaNoWriMo community was partly because of the scholarships I wanted to do. This month, I may have focused on three essays that I started or planned to do. Going to college is really important to me and I haven’t even earned a scholarship yet. This was really a test to my priorities and I had trouble balancing them.

Going back to The Jungle, I am almost finished with this difficult novel. I don’t even believe it to be a novella at this point. I’ve been jotting down the moments I deemed interesting and providing my analysis on them despite how weird they are sometimes. And most importantly, I’ve made much progress in my literary analysis essay on it. I’ve gathered several secondary sources including the novel itself to create at least 1700+ words of thought onto Word. I just hope I’ll clean it up for it to be good enough for an A.

My relationship with the NaNoWriMo community is very unusual, but my hunger for reading & writing prevails! Make sure to share this post on social media! Keep on writing!
