For those of you who are book-lovers, you must know what you’re favorite books were when you were younger or until now. For me, they are a complex number of genres because of exploration as a kid. So in this list, I’ll be naming my five favorite books of all time.
Dork Diaries #1

I read this when I was younger and I almost finished it in one sitting. This may seem hard to believe to you, but I kind of loved stories like this. It’s quirky writing style, the awesome illustrations, and the plot kept me going to book three until I stopped paying attention to them for some personal reasons. This may even be the inspiration for some elements of my writing.
The Haunted Castle on Hallows Eve
This was a book that enchanted me long ago. It was unfortunate that I couldn’t find it at this time, but I did remember the feelings I had while reading this book. At first, I never knew about this book or its series. And besides the writing and unique language it had, the cover art captivated me the most.
Among the Hidden

The concept was fantastic to me as well as unique and different. It had the sense of dread and feelings of guilt surrounding the main character, and sorry that this book in the image looked rough. It was much nicer until I gave it to a friend for her to read.
Al Capone Does My Shirts

This was my brother’s. I grew curious about its presence in the house and decided to read it. After I finished, I thought it must be the most hilarious book I’ve read. The casual sense and humor it had were much too addictive to put down. The book was about a boy and his family’s life in the same island where a famous criminal stayed, and I thought the tone, mood, and concept was perfect together.
Steal Like an Artist

I received this book as a prize from my art class. Kleon talks about the ways of not actually stealing like an artist but obtaining someone else’s ideas and creating it into your own, and he explains it in ten ways. I loved this book because the points in there were true and made sense, and it made me more aware of what I’m creating and avoiding plagiarism possibly, thus advancing me into a new kind of artist.
Well, I hoped you got new books to read. A few of these books were really the foundation of my writing career, and the others will be remembered by. Once you read a book, you may never know if it may change your life forever.
Let me know what you’re favorite books are. Stay tuned for another blog post. Goodbye.
