via When I became a therapy dog…
I read another short story from Litlatte. It is currently my favorite website for short stories. This short story is one of the first short stories I’ve read from them. When I decided to do a review on it, I needed to read it again to understand it better. After rereading it, I’ve missed a noticeably large amount of humor in it.

“When I Became a Therapy Dog” is about a werewolf with two kids whose husband left them and forgot to pay child support. One day, she gets a visit from a friend who tells her about a job as a therapy dog that she could do. Eventually, she accepted and got the job on the same day. The time spent at the elderly home was rather pleasant for her until she was prompted by the people to turn herself into her werewolf form.
The story had fantastical elements in it in a realistic setting, so it is magical realism, which is my favorite genre. The only element in it is that werewolves actually exist in that world. The story did contain a high level of humor/sarcasm as I sensed myself, which made it even more charming.
I liked that the story was fun held on to its theme of humor and ended it very well with that. I found that it could be suitable for older adults. It had a likable protagonist with a unique and funny voice as well as the other characters that added on to the humor.
I found it very hard to find any flaws as it as perfectly unique on its own. So…maybe you guys might find flaws by reading the story and comment them in the comments.
I bet Ell P, the author of this story, might have the same personality or mindset as the main character as it was crafted so well. She might make a great comedian commenting about crazy instances and child support.
